Ninadham: Ignite the Leader in You


 Our five day residential community living camp “NINADHAM” – Symphony of Resonance commenced today with hues and colours, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement. The inaugural function began at 11 am, presided by the Principal of the College Dr. P.G. Ajimol teacher. The chief guest Sri. Pandalam Sivankutty (NSS District Board Member) inaugurated the camp and Dr. Chithra L (PG Board of Studies Member) and Dr. Sreelekha L. (University of Kerala Academic Council Member) gave felicitation. The inaugural function concluded with the National Anthem by 12.00 PM.

The first session of the camp was handled by Mr. Jobin David (Faculty, Vallath Education) on the topic “Harmony Unveiled: The Journey to Ninadham Leadership”. Ms. Megha R. Nath welcomed the participants, and the class began at 2:00 pm with an engaging and interactive session. The RP initiated a concentration game called "JD Says (action)" to capture the participants' attention. He then divided the participants into three groups of 18, 18 and 17 members and were given the name “Phoenix”, “Ravam” and “Nammal”. He asked them to create a master step and a theme song for their group to maintain the energy throughout the session. afterwards group leaders were selected for each group and instructed them to nominate a fellow group member to the “Hot Seat” placed in the middle of each groups. The “Hot Seat Member” was asked to do as per the RP’s instruction. The first set of students (Sreelekshmi S., Sreelekshmi R. and Arya B.V.) was asked to sing a song simultaneously while the second set (Arya S. Nair., Aryalekshmi, Neethu Krishnan) was asked to give a speech switching between the topics “Indian Freedom Struggle” and “Jackfruit Seed”.

After the ice breaking session, the RP then narrated the story of the Phoenix bird. He gave the following points:

  1. Wait for your time zone and things will fall in its place at the right moment.
  2. Accept mistakes and correct it.
  3. Be updated to match with the digital citizens.

Afterwards, he conducted a small tableaux game giving two situations : festival market, and channel discussion in TVs. Students actively participated in the session. he then resumed his talk and conveyed that be aware of the problems that we may come across and prepare for it in advance, and started giving a testimony of his life.

Then he distributed newspapers to each groups and asked to give a makeover to one member of the group as a MUMMY. He then called those members for a ramp walk. With this activity, he explained to find happiness in little things around us and to live in the present. He again gave examples from his own life, supporting his opinion.

The class finally concluded with action song “A Ram Sam Sam”, boosting the energy of the members. Three students shared their feedback and Ms. Hridya H. proposed the vote of thanks and we called it a day.
