It's a wrap!

We were supposed to finish our teaching practice today, but the district magistrate decided to give the Pathanamthitta district a vacation because of the severe rains that had created significant damage. Thus, yesterday was the last day of instruction. This unanticipated shift has given us the opportunity to evaluate the second phase of our teaching practice, which has included a great deal of physical and mental strain. This phase has been particularly difficult in addition to the continuing midterm exams, for which I still need to evaluate a few more answer sheets. Looking back, despite the challenges, it has been a worthwhile experience that has provided development and insights. As we get to the end of our teaching practicum, it is evident that, although I do not find leaving the school to be a very painful experience, it is still bittersweet. Letting go of the kids who have impacted my life in unexpected ways is the real struggle. It has been a difficult trip because of their...

Post- Weekly Update VI

A lot happened this past week, including significant turning points in my practice teaching career. Along with my fellow B.Ed. trainees, I was given the exceptional chance to lead the morning assembly on Monday, July 22. An important turning point in our practice teaching phase was that this was our first time leading the assembly. The school commemorated Lunar Day with a number of interesting events after the assembly. Their performances had instructional value in addition to entertainment value. Students also took part in the "Ambilimamanoro Kaththu" letter-writing competition to Moon. Additionally, the First Mid-Semester Examination began on Wednesday. We took on the duty of producing the question paper for the English test, which was held on Thursday, July 25th, as part of our rigorous exam preparation. I had never led an exam before, and it ...

On July 17th, 2024 the observation class has been commenced on 4th hour of the day. Though, the heavy rain caused immense disturbance, I could smoothly administer the class. Overall it was a positive experience.

Achievement Test conducted on 19th July 2024              On Friday, July 19, I administered an Achievement test with success. It took a lot of work to prepare and conduct the test, especially considering how busy the week had been. Although there had been some previous disruptions, it was still difficult to ensure that the test went off without a hitch, but it was successful. The children are preparing for their model exam, which is scheduled for next week. For them to advance academically, this forthcoming test time will be critical, therefore both the children and I must concentrate and study carefully. Making the most of the time is crucial to making sure they are certain and well-prepared.
