Our Journey to Different Art Centre

Today, June 24, 2023, at 6:00 a.m., eight of us and our optional teacher, Dr. Jayapraveen J., set out to visit the renowned Museum of Magic – Magic Planet and Different Art Centre (DAC). Our practicum for B.Ed. Curriculum Course EDU 07—Perspectives of Learning and Teaching—included the trip. Our tour was designed to help us better appreciate the value of inclusive education and how to engage with children who have different types of learning requirements. Understanding the unique characteristics and learning requirements of exceptional learners, observing inclusive teaching practices and tailored lesson plans, comprehending the partnership between educators and parents, and witnessing the use of assistive technology are some of the goals of the visit. International Yoga Day

On this day, which is widely recognised as International Yoga Day, first-year B.Ed. and M.Ed. students from NSS Training College participated in a yoga session sponsored by the Department of Physical Education. Ms. Bincey (Natural Science Dept.) gave the welcoming talk and Ms. Anjali (Geography Dept.) anchoring the programming. Mr. K.C. Vijaya Mohanan, a certified yoga instructor, served as the resource person. He discussed the effects yoga may have on a person's life as well as the physical, emotional, and spiritual advantages of practicing yoga. As aspiring educators, we must recognise the role that yoga plays in helping students develop overall wellbeing. Yoga poses, or asanas, such as Vajrasana, Mandukasana, Marjarasana, etc., were practiced during the session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks being delivered by Ms. Niranjana from the Malayalam Department.
