Art has the ability to inspire creativity and transcend borders. We held our Arts Day celebration, "Niravu 2K23," on August 22 and 23. There was tremendous energy and excitement throughout the two days. Three Houses, Tagore, Gandhi, and Aurobindo, competed in various individual and group events. Participants were B.Ed. second and fourth semester students. The festival was expertly managed by the planners, who performed an excellent job. The two days served as a forum for education, teamwork, and personal development.
On this day, which is widely recognised as International Yoga Day, first-year B.Ed. and M.Ed. students from NSS Training College participated in a yoga session sponsored by the Department of Physical Education. Ms. Bincey (Natural Science Dept.) gave the welcoming talk and Ms. Anjali (Geography Dept.) anchoring the programming. Mr. K.C. Vijaya Mohanan, a certified yoga instructor, served as the resource person. He discussed the effects yoga may have on a person's life as well as the physical, emotional, and spiritual advantages of practicing yoga. As aspiring educators, we must recognise the role that yoga plays in helping students develop overall wellbeing. Yoga poses, or asanas, such as Vajrasana, Mandukasana, Marjarasana, etc., were practiced during the session. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks being delivered by Ms. Niranjana from the Malayalam Department.
