Post- Weekly Update VI
A lot happened this past week, including significant turning points in my practice teaching career. Along with my fellow B.Ed. trainees, I was given the exceptional chance to lead the morning assembly on Monday, July 22. An important turning point in our practice teaching phase was that this was our first time leading the assembly. The school commemorated Lunar Day with a number of interesting events after the assembly. The 8E kids performed a group song, a day-related skit, and speeches in both Malayalam and English to demonstrate their abilities. Their performances had instructional value in addition to entertainment value. Students also took part in the "Ambilimamanoro Kaththu" letter-writing competition to Moon.
Additionally, the First Mid-Semester Examination began on Wednesday. We took on the duty of producing the question paper for the English test, which was held on Thursday, July 25th, as part of our rigorous exam preparation. I had never led an exam before, and it put my attention to detail and organisational abilities to the test. On Saturday, July 27, there was a special working day to round out the week. A special morning assembly for the School Sports Fest oath-taking ceremony was the high point of the day. This festival, which is modelled after the Olympic Games, will begin this year and take place every four years.
